Point Sur State Historic Park.Located about 20 minutes from Carmel Bay View Inn, Point Sur State Historic Park in Big Sur is the only complete, historic Lightstation in California that's open to the public. The Point Sur lighthouse has operated continuously since 1889. Three-hour, docent-led hikes through the premises are available year-round on weekends and seasonally on Wednesdays. Stillwater Cove.Located off 17 Mile Drive in the Pebble Beach community, Stillwater Cove is a typically tranquil cove perfect for kayaking and Scuba diving.
